Times of India have reported the death of a 28-year-old Nigerian boy who committed suicide by jumping off the 2nd floor of his rented apartment. Police said findings reveal that the late Kelvin Lakoju, aka ‘Biggie’ was suffering from depression.
“We have questioned some people and came to know that he was upset for some reasons,” said deputy SP’S Chinappa.
“His friends said Kelvin was good at studies. Some personal problem could be the reason for committing suicide,” said a senior police officer.
Kelvin had been in India since 2009 and was taking a photography course from an institute in Film city. Cops said he committed suicide around 11 PM Wednesday, 2nd January .
Some sources do however affirm that Kevin was pushed, while others insist he was murdered (pushed).
The Nigerian Consular office and the deceased’s family have been notified about the occurrence. It is wished that Nigerian authorities in India will do some investigation into the supposed suicide and rightly corroborate the tale, if definitely it was a suicide.
